"And if a man were to truly have the psychology of a woman, in my submission, they would know that, and they wouldn’t enter those spaces, and it’s for that reason that your Honour would not find that, by entering spaces that women psychologically fear men who appear to be men enter, that it just proves that this applicant lacks the psychology of a woman, and is, thereby, not a woman, but he is a man. "

I have had this exact same though myself. If a man who identifies as a woman was truly able to understand the experience of being a woman, he would know with every fiber of his being that there are situations where women are vulnerable to male predation due to their sexed bodies---and he would NOT impose himself on biological women in those circumstances. As the attorney noted, the very fact that this man insists on pushing his way into these situations shows that he is not "psychologically" a woman. Well of course he's not an actual woman, we all know that, but I appreciate the attorney thinking this through and making his argument in a way that has a chance of carving out exceptions to the current laws which demand absolute obedience to the idea that in no way, in any category, are men-who-identify-themselves-as-female different from natal females.

The only flaw in this is the fact that Tickle isn't much of a man, either.

"feeling psychologically like a woman" means what? It means a wait after every Pap smear to find out if you have cervical cancer, same after mammograms. It means wondering if you're pregnant when your period is late. It means understanding the seriousness of looming adulthood when you must remember monthly supplies as a young teenage girl. No male "feels" this, never will. "Feeling psychologically like a woman" for my ex-husband: co-opting my experiences of 2 natural labors giving birth to the sons he fathered. Narcissism in "trans world" is the belief that long fingernails and designer shoes make your hands and feet appear smaller. Narcissism in "trans world" is appropriating the most stereotypical of surface appearances to claim a false identity. It's tiresome, tedious and taxing, but we have to push back.

So would you agree that male spaces should be returned? Would you over-turn bans on all-male clubs, for example?

As for me, I’ve never been in favor of government interference with private association. It’s right there in the Constitution in fact. Of course it goes for men.

There’s an inevitable tension between freedom of association and civil rights protections as they have been applied by the courts. Sticky wickets there.

I think so. The reason women inserted themselves into men's clubs had to do with the business deals going on within. Women have much more parity now. I don't quite know how you came to his question from my narrative, but whatever.

Wow Julia Gillard, Zelie Heger and Georgina Costello must be so proud of themselves using their power against other women. Must make them feel so strong and important.

The sad truth is that they DO know that people cannot change sex, yet here they are, pretending otherwise. These are women whose only goal is to serve men and be a part of the old boys' club even if it's at the expense of other women. Misogyny at it's worst!

Many of the people pushing transgender philosophy on society through media and government are powerful and wealthy investors in the medical industry. Aren't all industries currently pushing the eternal subscription model of anything in order to generate eternal profits? What better way to profit off of every single human than to not just insert one's industry into human reproduction, but to make one's industry essential to human reproduction?

This quote from the article below, and the evidence contained supporting its veracity, shows that this movement and these laws have nothing to do with being nice or kind to men with psychological delusions about their biological reality and everything to do with control, power and money.

"The strategic linking of an agenda aimed at deconstructing reproductive sex with a civil rights movement centered on same-sex attraction was pure genius—a metaphorical fox in the henhouse, but dressed as a hen."

Radical feminist-powered gender ideology destroying the identity of "woman". Who would have considered we would ever end up here?

The case centers on a complaint made by a trans-identified male (i.e. a man who identifies as a woman, also known as a “transwoman”), Roxanne Tickle, against the women-only social networking app, Giggle for Girls. Tickle alleges that his exclusion from the app, which was created exclusively for women by its founder and CEO, Sall Grover, constitutes gender identity discrimination

How can he be excluded, when he's a man?

Australia’s SDA was enacted to fulfill the country’s obligations as a signatory of the international Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women

Again, he's a man. Not a woman.

A good or service reserved exclusively for women does not constitute discrimination when it is for the purpose of promoting equal opportunities for women in public life.

He's a man who thinks he's a woman and has mutilated his body.

In court, the Commissioner's barrister, Zelie Heger, said that sex is not a binary concept and refers to being a man, a woman, or neither. Further, she insisted that sex is not an exclusively biological concept and that other physical, psychological, or social factors may be relevant.

Sex is a binary concept. You are either XX or XY genome. You are either a man or a woman, but you can't be both, and you can't be the opposite sex.

Tickle’s case is based on the premise that, under Australian law and specifically within the context of the SDA, men can become women

Men can never become women. He will always have a xY chromosome, which makes him biologically a man.

I am not convinced that persecuting trans people is the way to go. Rich white women have conspired to eliminate male spaces while ruthlessly preserving female ones. Now they are on the rampage going after the trans community. I am not so sure that we should keep allowing a group of rich white ladies-who-lunch that demand ever increasing privileges for themselves. I see no benefit, and these rich, over-privileged ladies are not contributing to the public good in any way. Their unearned privileges have gone on for far too long. They preached inclusivity for decades. Now let them practice it themselves.

I get what your saying, women have pushed for the equality and this is a glorious loop hole that men have identified as a consequences. I do believe that it will have to be a mass uprising of biological women (real proper women) for things to change, it seems that it will need women to act as one and make the powers that be hear them. I don't see the masses of women who should be outraged doing something about it.

I agree with you. The women who are bothered by this need to learn how to live with it. I just dislike that the same "activists" who demanded that male spaces be violated now are outraged that they must abide by their own rules.

It is accepted by the majority that the bond between Mother and Child is something no man would ever be capable of knowing. It is that thing of a momma bear and her cubs and not getting in between them. I always appreciated that closeness a mum and child share, a man dosn't get it, i can empathise and imagine how it is, but i don't know. I can't truly know. Imagining something does not make it reality. Seems we have lost our ability to appreciate just how uniquely wonderful women and men are, no women who identifies as a man is pushing this hard to put themselves into mens changing rooms, mens toilets or on to apps/websites designed for men, the difference is why that is and then you can appreciate why a man who believes he is a women would never put upon women like they are, clearly shows that he dosn't get it. In 200 years when we are long gone, the time team 2224 special will be digging and will find bones and be able either visually or through DNA know that here lieth a Jack or a Joan.

Women need to have safe places. By women, I am referring to the dictionary meaning, i.e., an adult female human being. I find it disgraceful that an adult male, regardless of how he chooses to identify, would think it appropriate to insert himself into women-only spaces. The focus here should be on safety and particularly of those most vulnerable. While as a woman, in many situations I do not feel nor am I vulnerable, there are many situations where women are inherently vulnerable and as such require safe places. This is true throughout history and is evidenced in ancient cultures where men and women had separate rituals, practices and spaces while maintaining community-shared rituals, practices and spaces.

I find the words "kind" and "nice" interesting in this context. They are often used to shut down or discount counter views. Isn't being honest a kind thing to do? I fail to see how indulging in someone's delusion or falsehood is kind. I would say such an indulgence is negligent in its demonstration of care. I would make the argument that telling the truth is a great kindness. Having said that, truth does need to be delivered in manner that is caring.

Unfortunately men have found a loop hole in the equality that women have gone full tilt to gain, it seems a consequence is this, is it wrong ? Of course it is, is it ridiculous? Again yes 100% but that passion and determination that has been shown to gain a level playing field has been exploited by.........yep men. What was so bad about a man respecting a woman, just as i would my elder and better being courteous to women was something i was taught as far back as i remember. It will take the and if my late mum is anything to go by the formidable force of nature that women collectively are to speak out and speak up. It seems the will and the desire is firmly on the Trans side. I haven't seen as many women who seem to feel that bothered to want to fight.

Women have spent decades violating male spaces. Women have taken away every space men had without utter and complete ruthlessness. We see the results of this from suicides to drug overdoses.

Today in the United States females overwhelmingly outnumber males, but the preferences are still set to benefit women.

So now women have the gall to complain about THEIR precious spaces being violated? This is feminism coming home to roost. Women wanted this, remember? I will side with women when all laws are changed to allow single biological spaces for all. Women cannot demand one thing then change the rules when it does not suit them. Either everybody gets gendered spaces or nobody does. Frankly, the only real solution is to end gender segregation entirely. That I can agree with. No more spaces anywhere that are male or female, just mixed.

Or we can have gendered spaces again. The ridiculous nature of this lawsuit should make women realize that they never should have violated male spaces to begin with, but instead they want privilege for themselves, and nothing for anyone else. It is insane that women cannot see how arrogant and prejudiced such beliefs are. This is a gender-version of South African Apartheid.
