Indoctrinating 4 & 5-Year-Olds Into Gender Pseudoscience
A recent documentary by the NC Association for the Education of Young Children (NCAEYC) called “Reflecting on Anti-bias Education in Action: The Early Years,” shows just how fully saturated with gender ideology some schools have become. In the following clip, a teacher uses a doll to teach young children about “gender identity.”
The doll’s name is Nash, and the teacher explains how it’s Nash’s first day of school, and that Nash is very curious to get to know their classmates. The teacher proposes a hypothetical scenario where one of Nash’s friends asks “are you a boy or a girl?” Nash’s response, according to the teacher, is “I’m just a kid!” A young student then says, “But kids can be boys or girls.” Another child then interjects—“Or they,” followed by a boy who says “Or maybe non-binary.”
The teachers then discuss how happy and proud they are that their curriculum is so saturated with gender ideology that their 4-5-year-old students bring up “non-binary” identities on their own without any prompting.
I think it was a huge testament to how much we’ve been talking about it in the classroom that you never mentioned the term “non-binary,” it was a child who brought that up because it’s constantly in conversation.
Back to the lesson with the doll, the teacher explains that Nash is “non-binary,” and that “they aren’t sure if they’re a boy or a girl.” When a young girl asks “Why does he like… Does he like stars?” (referencing the fact that Nash is wearing a shirt with stars on it), the teacher quickly responds to the misgendering of Nash by saying “They like stars.” All the children then repeat, “They like stars.”
A boy also misgenders Nash by asking “Why does he wear a star shirt?” The teacher again corrects the student, this time repeating Nash’s gender neutral “they/them” pronouns 6 times: “They wore the star shirt because it’s their favorite shirt, and because they were nervous today they thought they would wear something that makes them feel special.”
This is what religious indoctrination into gender ideology looks like. It teaches children not to trust their eyes, and instills within them the pseudoscientific concept of a “gender identity” that exists apart from a person’s biological sex, and that’s what truly makes a child a boy or a girl.
