Weekly Recap: Kink Conferences, Puberty Blockers for All, Gender Affirmation Leave, Bill Maher & Ricky Gervais Enter the Chat, Rye Whiskey, and More
NEW: Community Chats!
With every Weekly Recap, there will now be a Community Chat created for subscribers to discuss the latest news on sex and gender and other related topics. I will be very active on these threads, and I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all better!
For this first Community Chat, please start off by introducing yourself and then ask your question. I imagine most will want to discuss sex and gender issues, but I don’t want to limit discussion to these topics, so please feel free to open it up. I only ask that you are kind and thoughtful in your comments and responses.
Your feedback will be valuable for these Community Chats, and I can foresee the potential utility of having two separate Community Chat threads each week—one dedicated to on-topic discussions about sex, gender, and related topics, and a second for off-topic discussions. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
I will include a link to the new Community Chat at the top of every Weekly Recap, but you can also find them by clicking on the Community tab on the main website, as shown below.
And now for the news…
Teachers Encouraged to Attend ‘Kink,’ ‘BDSM,’ and ‘Trans Sex’ Conference
In a recent City Journal report, Manhattan Institute senior fellow Christopher Rufo revealed that teachers and staff from the School District of Philadelphia were encouraged by the district’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to attend a conference organized by the Mazzoni Center in order to “learn more about the issues facing the trans community” and create “equitable and inclusive environments.”
According to Rufo:
The event included sessions on topics such as “The Adolescent Pathway: Preparing Young People for Gender-Affirming Care,” “Bigger Dick Energy: Life After Masculinizing [Gender Reassignment Surgery],” “Prosthetics for Sex,” “The Ins and Outs of Masturbation Sleeves,” and “Trans Sex: Banging Beyond Binaries.”
Far from simply “learn[ing] more about the issues facing the trans community,” attendees learned about prosthetic penises and sex toys, including “artificial ejaculation devices” which were “explicitly promoted to minors” by some hosts. There were also presentations promoting puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and “gender affirming” surgical interventions for minors.
“No age limit” was a recurring theme among session hosts. One host, Dr. Scott Mosser, who claimed to have performed “over two thousand top surgeries,” said that one’s “gender journey” can begin at any age.
Rufo’s eye-opening Twitter thread can be viewed below.
