Thank you for checking out my Substack!

I am very excited to start producing content here and building a community of readers. Twitter is great for quick thoughts, breaking news, and short, punchy threads, and outlets like Quillette—where I work—are wonderful for topical, in-depth, polished analyses. But I find that a lot of what I want to say and write about occupies some middle ground between those poles. That’s where this Reality’s Last Stand comes in.

If you enjoy my essays and Twitter feed, chances are you will enjoy this Substack, as I will use this platform to offer thoughts on current events, science and pseudoscience, wokeness and the state of academia, and the sex and gender debate. I may even throw in the occasional post about some of my other passions that I don’t frequently discuss on Twitter: fitness and whiskey!
