She certainly does an exceptional job of identifying and marshalling support for her argument. I hope she considers participating in interscholastic debate, too. All sensible people should hope no one sends her essay to the admissions offices of colleges she hopes to attend or worse, waits until after she has made plans for attending one that accepted her application.

I would argue she'd be better off not attending those DEI indoctrination centers otherwise known as colleges.

She certainly should consider it. There are state universities in the top tier of research universities.

State (aka government) universities are the worst offenders, especially now under Biden's recent revisions to Title IX.

I'd think the conclusion is that prospective students and their parents should check out any school before adding it to their wish list. Sadly, I don't know where reliable information might be found. It's surprising not surprising that the MSM have imposed strict radio silence on the packing of the Department of Education with utterly uncritical Critical Gender Theorists and sympathisers.

I've been waiting for Kathryn to show up! There will be more young leaders like her who have the intelligence and courage to speak simple truths about these policies harming girls and women. Healthy or not, in the current rules of our society it is the youth who have authority. Adults and elders must support them and help them think their way through these quagmires. Thank you to Colin for posting this.

("What was the hardest part about finding research for this essay?

Google would only present me with material from the other side of the argument. I had to get some help and do a deep dive to get the evidence I needed to support my argument.") - Amen.

Kathryn as an 8th grader now officially knows more about this issue, and understands the world we live in more accurately - than the majority of those people who - "identify as adults."

Yup, not enough people understand how much Big Tech has politicized the internet.

This article on the Censorship Industrial Complex is an 11/10 https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/guide-understanding-hoax-century-thirteen-ways-looking-disinformation

Yes that answer stood out to me too! My fourth grader choose to research polar bears this year and I just about rubbed my hands in glee with the silver platter opportunity to teach her more about biases and narratives. Even duck duck go search results were markedly different to google, which were pretty much entirely links to fact checking articles. They are the new evil empire. Don’t look over here! I think she learned a lot, but unlike this courageous young essayist, she was less enthusiastic about really rubbing our findings in her teacher’s face. She only included one sentence about being pleasantly surprised that primary sources show polar bear populations are steadily increasing despite what the library books stated. The bibliography was dynamite though! It’s a start I guess 😝

Many congratulations to her from Terf Island. It takes courage to stand up to the bullies but it’s heartening that more people are doing so. There’s no possible justification for male bodies in women’s sports. Over here Sharron Davies campaigns for a female class and an open class so that transwomen compete with men. Courage calls to courage 💪🏻

A 14 year-old girl has more common sense and courage than ESPN, most school administrators, the current administration in Washington and most members of the Democratic Party.

Well done that girl.

Clear, concise, well argued.

I'm always amazed at the persistence of the word "inclusivity" with its interpretation being "including males"...because in most cases it seems to me that the term is synonymous with EXCLUDING females.

Expand full comment

Exactly. I loved how she made the excellent point that it is SEXISM to accommodate a tiny fraction of males at the expense of MOST females!

Expand full comment

Exactly! “Inclusive “‘at this point is totally one sided. Trans are included, women are Excluded! It’s the trans that are pampered and yet they whine that they are “oppressed” ! What a bunch of spoiled bullies!

Thanks for sharing this white pill. In a sane world she would be destined for the Ivy League. In clown world, she should avoid the demoralzied DIEvy League where she’d have to compete against Lia Thomas: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/how-to-get-into-harvard-part-3

Yes!!! This is so good. We need more based, courageous teens to speak the truth.

Well done Kathryn. Also, well done to the teacher for grading her excellent essay fairly. That shouldn't need pointing out but here in 2023, it unfortunately does.

Indeed you're right about this. Read a story from here in the Netherlands about a young girl who did her presentation on vaccinations, titled: Why I haven’t been vaccinated yet.

"This story is based on a talk about vaccination. Noömi was 11 years

old when she gave her presentation to the students of group 7/8.

Because of the media’s smear campaign against the unvaccinated,

and her young age, her mother advised her to choose another topic

for her talk. She bravely ignored her mother’s advice and decided to

bring this socially controversial subject, the downside of vaccination,

to the attention of her peers and teachers.

When her teacher heard which subject Noömi had chosen, she

discussed this with the school’s management. After that it was

decided that Noömi should not read the part on the information

on childhood diseases. The teacher interrupted her during the

presentation and said, “just skip this page”. A critical view is not readily

accepted and that this is the case children learn/ experience at a

young age. The highest good of freedom of expression is immediately

nipped in the bud.

Noömi received a passing grade for her work and presentation.

However, it was remarkable that the rest of the children in the class

were all awarded one point higher."

If you hadn't said she was an 8th grader I would've simply imagined she was an adult. Amazing writing for her age, she's more articulate and down to the point than the robotic hive-minded Harvard and Stanford twenty-somethings that write actual theses and papers with the cringiest and most simplistic wording you can imagine.

Go girl.

This is the best article I have seen on the subject of males competing in womens' sports. The author has outdone the experts and given us a valuable tool to use in our struggle to protect the rights of girls and women. Congratulations and best wishes for the future!!
