The work of Gov. DeSantis, Chris Rufo, and others went a long way towards replacing a college full of activist faculty, administrators and students with a more promising experiment in higher education. I am horrified to read that the New College is still tolerating graduate level theses that consist of word salad and rambling, angry raving. At the same time, I recognize that this recurrence of the cancer was inevitable, I just wanted to hope that it would never come back.
I wonder what it is like to be a faculty member at the New College who had the same kind of hopes I have had. Like, is there any open debate among faculty about the activists who are sabotaging the mission of the school and replacing it with their pathological processes? What kinds of pressure can be applied to fire the faculty who foster this kind of destructive activity?

My closest female friend is an alumna of New College from the '70s.
