I think it’s important to specify whether these results came from the US/Western/WEIRD countries or worldwide. It’s true that Jewish advocacy groups like the ADL have played into Western DEI practices in a terribly counterproductive way. However, it’s always worth contextualizing that Judaism is a worldwide religion, and appealing to shared humanistic values will not work in all countries.

Or as Dr. Sowell put it, paraphrasing, when one has experienced decades of preferential treatment, equal treatment seems like oppression.

This problem with the ADL was one of the reasons that Trisha Posner and I founded Antisemitism Watch in 2022

Definitely agree with the anger and resentment part. I left and organization with which I was affiliated for 15 years, in part, due to the national leadership's DEI-style tactics. Even when they would attempt "shared values" appeals, it was insincere, because of, at a minimum, the veiled implications of "but you must rememberisms" that followed, i.e. if you take this position, you're a [name your epithet] bigot. The final break came when I had the distinct impression that local leadership was twisting my objections to a matter into something that I carefully to great pains to make sure that it could not be misrepresented as both antisemitic and anti-Muslim. That was nearly two years ago.
