This bill is utterly horrible, and let's also keep in mind that State child welfare agencies and courts can and have taken kids away from parents for just this reason without any help from their state legislatures. It is a problem at every level.

It has even happened in red states, because lefties and their nonsense tend to dominate social services agencies and family court systems everywhere. Here are some examples that managed to make the news despite the center-left media never reporting on it:

These Indiana parents had custody of their child taken by social services for declining to use demanded pronouns:

Montana parents had custody of their 14-year-old taken because they knew from past experience that her dramatic claims of suicidality were an attempt at emotional blackmail to get what she wanted, in this case to take puberty blockers and testosterone:

California - mom Abigail Martinez had her daughter Yaeli taken in 2016 at age 16 for not green lighting medical transition. Yaeli committed suicide at age 19 while on testosterone and separated from her mom:

Washington DC-area parents lost custody of their autistic 16-year-old for deciding he was too young yet to know whether he really should be a girl:

The most alarming aspect of this horrific charade is the Democrat lawmakers rejection of parent groups as stakeholders because they classify them as "hate groups". So despite parents being the primary target of this legislation, their testimony is deemed invalid.
